Democrats nearly double Limbaugh's audience

The Democrats' conspiracy to demonize Rush Limbaugh, directed from the Obama White House, has the talk radio icon laughing all the way to the bank.

Today’s U.S. News Political Bulletin reports Rush Limbaugh is a clear winner this week:

His ratings have nearly doubled since his feud with the White House burst into the media limelight.

Byron York asked Rush about the effect the Democrats' plot has had on Rush's business:

The latest numbers I have are for January, well before this kerfuffle began, and they are through the roof -- six shares in NY, for example. There are daily ratings taken now in about the top 15 markets but I have not seen them yet. All I can tell you is that as of January, we booked 80 percent of all our 2008 revenue and we'll be over 2008 by the end of this month.

According to Talkers Magazine, since the Democrats' conspiracy was put in motion, Rush's audience has grown from 14 million to 25 million.

In the following video, Chris Matthews calls the plot a great stimulus program:

Sorry friend but you’re off base here.

How hard was Rush supposed to fight for a marginal candidate like McCain? I had written McCain off too.
I didn’t fight for McCain until he picked Sarah. After which I gave money and traveled to FL to work on the campaign in the final 72 hours. And after the way McCain’s inner circle treated Sarah after the election I’m sorry I tried to help the worst run campaign since Mondale.

Those too.

They help to illuminate the notepad next to the radio.

In case I need to take notes.

'This is why he didn’t fight for McCain.'

Do you listen to Rush? The only time he even half-way supported mccainiac was against the o. He continually said 'we are sooooooooo screwed!'.

If you read my FR profile, you will read how my life-long conservative Democrat Dad began listening to Rush during the Clinton years, and Rush did what no one else ever could do, turn my Dad into a Republican.

With 14 million listeners a week (10 million more than Oprah) you can bet a few million of them are Obama voters. Lets hope they keep listening and maybe just maybe see the light like my Dad did.

read my comments in post #47. It makes little sense for rush to complain and act all mellodramtic about event that he knew would transpire.

Actually radio ratings are fore casted just like television ratings. It was very apparent that Rush's show was stagnating later during GWB’s presidency. It wasn't getting the kind of fantastic audiences that it had when Clinton was in office mucking things up. Because it lacked the the kind of controversy in which rush could talk about.

Zero is so fantastically stupid that he's granting Rush his wet dream. A full on mainstream national stage. Zero is trying to portray Rush as some mega-villan but he's too stupid to realize that Rush is a radio personality and doesn't hold the responsibilities that an elected official does.

Rush doesn't need to play by the same rules and the sooner he makes that separation clear the more ammo he'll have to crush and humiliate Zero with.

But yes this is for rating and just as the article points out it's worked. Read my post #47 if you want I simply don't feel like explaining yet again how this simply benefits Rush and this feigned shock and melodrama is rather transparent.

Dat’s da one. Unfortunately all too many, even on the right, think it is perfectly acceptable and American to restrict political speech.

If Obama’s agenda is enacted, IT WILL FAIL. It can do NOTHING BUT fail. This is what we are failing to articulate. It has nothing at all to do with anyone’s hopes, wants, desires, etc.

That is what I think about it too. 0bama's agenda will fail because there is no basis in reality for it to succeed. I think Rush phrased it the way he did intentionally in order to bait 0bama and other libs into attacking Rush by name. Like good little lab rats they acted just the way he expected them to. Now he has 14 million new listeners who will soon see that the Rush they have heard about isn't the Rush that is. Other illusions they hold may be dashed as well.

Just remember ... basically it took 80 years for the Soviet Union to completely FAIL..
I’d rather be taken out in BATTLE than to have my life and Spirit ... my RUGGED INDIVIDUALISM SUCKED FROM ME by any Government.

**this simply benefits Rush and this feigned shock and melodrama is rather transparent.**

OF COURSE IT IS ... and off the record.. Rush would probably say “and this is a bad thing, how?” BUT ... it’s WORKING!!

If NOBAMA is STUPID enough to give RUSH the ROPE.. you KNOW rush gonna hang ol’ BARKY with it.. and then LAUGH all the way to the BANK.
