Brownback hasn’t always been Sebelius’ stooge. She badgered Clinton into nominating her husband for a federal judgeship. Her husband, shall we say, was not up to the task. Brownback blocked the nomination and caught weeks of hell from Sebelius and her people and from the Clintons’ people. It became very threatening and nasty. Brownback wouldn’t budge and the nomination was pulled - saving us from at least one of Clinton’s vile appointments. Sebelius (both of them) absolutely hate Brownback.
Why Brownback is going out of his way to cave now when he doesn’t owe her anything, I just don’t get it.
