An Open Letter To Michael Steele

Dear Chairman Steele,

First of all, congratulations on your recent election as chairman of the RNC. I know you have gotten off to somewhat of a rocky start with your recent tiff with Rush Limbaugh. You have since apologized to Rush and I, for one, am willing to forget about it.

Now on to the serious business: ANYONE who hasn't figured out by now that BHO is a hardcore Marxist hellbent upon implementing socialism and massive federal government intrusion into our economy is simply delusional. Rush Limbaugh gave a thorough analysis of BHO's ruinous socialist agenda at the speech he recently delivered at CPAC. You, sir, should have been the one to deliver that speech. This is why Rush is now regarded by many to be voice of the Republican Party.

With all due respect sir, I think you need get out of the beltway and listen to what grassroots conservatives and Republicans are saying. You could even get a good clue by checking out this website from time to time. I know you are a busy man, but I have noticed that you still find to time host radio programs and appear frequently on Fox News.

If the Republicans hope to remain a significant factor in American politics going forward, they must confront Obamamunism head on and with energy and vigor. Instead, we see many Republican legislators adding on their earmarks to all irresponsible, reckless, and financially ruinous spending bills making their way through Congress. What's up with that?

I have a plan to take back the Congress: You need to get out of Washington and travel across the country to actively recruit the highest quality, principled conservatives to run for Congress and the U.S. Senate. I see some prominent Democrats including Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh are already getting nervous over BHO's grandiose spending programs.

Let's borrow a page from Newt Gingrich's winning playbook which helped the Republican Party take control of the House of Represenatives for the first time in forty years back in 1994. Let's come up with a new, coommon sense Contract For America that the people of our country will embrace enthusiastically. It does need to be very long or complex. Here are a few suggestions:

(1) A firm commitment to CUTTING federal spending and reforming "entitlement programs".

(2) A firm commitment to LOWERING, flattening, and reforming our burdensome and counterproductive tax code on both business and individuals. How about ELIMINATING capital gains, dividend, and estate taxes as a way to offer REAL stimulus to the economy?

(3) A firm commitment to protecting this great country, building missile defense systems, and most importantly, securing our borders.

(4) Free market solutions to making health insurance more affordable to individuals who do not receive health benefits from their employer.

(5) A firm commitment to traditional values which promote life as well as the commitment to traditional marriage and English as our official language.

(6) A firm commitment to appoint only those judges who interpret the law and uphold our Constitution, not activist judges who make their own laws.

I wouldn't make the list too long or too complicated. Just a handfull of items most common sense Americans would agree to. This, more than anything else, would go a long way towards restoring the Republican brand which always stood for national strength, moral values, free markets, and fiscal responsibility. Drive home the point that we want to be AMERICANS, not Europeans.

Do these things Mr. Chairman, and the GOP will certainly take back the Congress in 2010 which is just next year. But's time to get out of the beltway and off the talk show circuit and roll up our sleeves and do the work that needs to be done. And, for heavan's sake, don't pick fights with Rush Limbaugh. Rush has it right in every sense. And, truth be told, Rush, along with Newt, helped engineer the great Republican victories and renaissance in 1994. Think of what you could accomplish with Rush at your side! You would go down as one of the best GOP chairman in our party's history. Learn from what works. When conservatives are motivated, we can do almost anything. Ronald Reagan inspired us, Rush inspires us, and you could inspire us as well.

In sum, Mr. Chairman, it is of paramount importance for the survival of the republic, the Republican Party, and the Conservative Movement, that YOU succeed in your efforts to rebuild the Party and that BHO fails in his efforts to impose socialism and recklessly irresponsible federal spending. Rush was right to begin with: BHO must fail or else our great experiment, our freedom, our capitalist system will go the way of Europe and we conservatives will be relegated to the ash heap of history. Carpe Diem!

Respectfully

Yours In Freedom,

Welcome2thejungle

Why would he start now? The Republicans have been ignoring conservative principles for many years to expand the voter base. Steele needs to resign right now.

Dear Leader Steele is a RINO socialist. He needs to resign his office before getting out of town.

It may seem nice of you to be so forgiving of Steele’s treasonous remarks. But it is in fact suicidal.

Would you be so willing to “forget” about Benedict Arnold’s actions?

Nobody who is so ashamed of conservatives and pro-lifers as to call them “ugly and incendiary” can ever organize any real opposition to Obama-Pelosi-Reid.

What do you suggest we do? I want my country back. I outlined a way to get there.

I don’t disagree with any of your points. But it won’t happen with Judas Steele, I know that. He needs to go. Now. And be replaced with someone who is not ashamed of America and conservatism.

I was happy at first when Steele was chosen to head the RNC. But I feel differently now since he made those lame@ss remarks. The libs get a kick out of our party’s failure to fully unite, but we must unite. Remember, divide we fall.

Very blunt and to the point.

I was raised to believe you get more with people using using sugar as opposed to vinegar.

But I hear you. Steele has gotten off to a counterproductive start tangling with Rush.

Rush is right. BHO must be stopped.

Yes he does and I agree with you. The reason that I am blunt is that I have been preaching against the ultra liberal steele since before he was elected... he is as liberal a nancy pelosi but she does not try to hide her liberalism like steel does. He has stated that the era of Reagan is dead and that although we all loved Reagan... his days are over with and we must redefine Conservatism. steele wants the repubic party to become what the dim party was before they came to hate America. steele is no solution... he is a large part of the problem. We will make no progress until he and the rino leadership is expelled from the leadership ranks. Thanks for posting back to me!
