How the Fairness Doctrine will be implemented
American Mom Radio ^ | 3-4-09 | Chris Carter

Posted on 03/05/2009 6:40:43 AM PST by Crush

Chris Carter, the Director of the Victory Institute, joins American Mom Radio to discuss the Fairness Doctrine. When Democrats say that they will not implement the Fairness Doctrine, they are actually right (despite their numerous claims). Instead of implementing it through the front door, they will go through the back door. Discusses John Podesta's study, which Obama repeats almost word-for-word.

Henry Waxman is looking at controlling the internet as well, so this affects all of us! This is an assault against the Constitution, which protects our right to free speech. The Supreme Court also found that free speech means receiving information as well as sending it.

John Podesta runs Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank. Podesta was Clinton's chief of staff and the Co-Chair for Obama's transition team. Here's the report: http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2007/06/pdf/talk_radio.pdf

Also, create the perception that Rush is the head of the GOP, then the Dems will have a need for 3 hrs/day to be “fair” about it.

Limbaugh is equal time for all of the network news, PBS, New York Times, etc.

We need to let the free market sort this out, not ‘the state.’

I agree, but I believe that this is all a play to build support for the UN-fairness Doctrine.

You are absolutely right. Much of America doesn’t have time to learn or even care what the Constitution says, so little talking points parroted on the media could be enough to turn public opinion to their side.

Who could be against “fairness” anyways, right?
