He can try if he likes, I suppose. But he's going to have a difficult time, I believe, convincing the middle third that this is "a failure of capitalism". I believe that he has badly miscalulated the mood of the country. I still believe in the wisdom of the majority of the American people, even though that belief has been somewhat strained recently. This is why Obama will ultimately fail. All we have to do is to articulate our conservative principles and we'll prevail.

Of course, we have to worry about the numbskulls in the Republican party, who, with certain exceptions, are gutless pansies...

I've come to the same conclusion. Either's he's appallingly ignorant of basic history and economics, or he's simply devoutly devoted to his philosphy, or it's intentional.

It's tough to be THAT ignorant of the basics with teams of advisors... and even the most ardent loyalists start to look around when they see that their every act causes pain for everyone around, especially those one purports to care about the most. The only chioce left is that it is intentional. It seems quite clear to me.
