"Under my plan of a cap and trade system electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Businesses would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that cost onto consumers."

Senator Barack Obama Speaking on his energy policies San Francisco Chronicle January 17, 2008

Great. You'd think that Team 'O" would have thought of this before they announced their program.

** Cap and trade will likely cost $700 to $1,400 dollars per family per year.

Barack Obama admitted in an interview with The San Francisco Chronicle during the campaign that cap and trade energy policy would "cause electricity prices to skyrocket." Here's more on this Obama business buster:

The problem is, Boy Wonder could really give a sh*t. He’s going to make sure Algore gets his “cap ‘n trade” for all the work Crazy Al did creating his “global warming” now “climate crisis” hoax! Not only should Algore be in jail, Boy Wonder should be in there with him. STOP SCAMMING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!

And that’s without the new “green” plug-in electric cars...

But what the heck. So what if we can’t afford to cool our houses. It’ll help keep the medical costs down, like last summer in France, after all those old people died of the heat...

Geithner’s comments today about the cap and trade.

“This is a moral imperative, it’s an economic imperative, and it’s a fiscal imperative for the country”, said Geithner

How about we get someone in Congress to propose a TAX!
A TAX on NEWSPRINT!
Whereas a large portion of every landfill is used for discarded newspapers and
Whereas the production of newspapers causes trees to be cut down, hauled by polluting trucks to polluting paper mills, and hauled from paper mills to publishers and
Whereas the production of newspapers requires toxic ink and solvents and energy wasting machinery and
Whereas the distribution of newspapers requires the use of dirty internal combustion engines Therefore:
Be it resolved that a Newsprint tax, of $1,000.00 per pound, be charged to EVERY newspaper with a daily subscription, within the United States!
________________________________________
We should get some Republican to propose THIS as an amendment to any “cap and trade” or “carbon tax” proposal that comes up!
Maybe we can make it like “Cap and Trade” and use the revenue generated, from this tax on dirty dinosaur newspapers subsidize a tax credit for home computers and digital devices?

The increased energy costs will wipe out any “stimulus” tax savings.

“You’d think that Team ‘O” would have thought of this before they announced their program.”

They did. Orzag says “the people” will receive bonuses from Plan Obama that will offset it. I saw him say that on Stephanopolus show this weekend. Steph. knew the answer beforehand, and he helped Orzag say it.

They know about the video, but Obama is in the hands of Goldman Sachs and friends. He will push the scam.

The backlash against this President will come—eventually. When it does, it will be ugly.

The price of electricity will rise and then he promised to put coal powered plants out of business.

I dont know whats wrong with these people , but they refuse to drill for oil they pass money out to green energy sources that dont work, they raise the price of electricity and then they put coal out of business.

Someone please tell me what in the name of keeryst we are supposed to do for energy.

.I agree, the backlash when it come will be ugly, very ugly. If you have not been laid off and you still have a retirement or college fund in the market, most Americans have not felt the real brunt of this until we get our utility bills, fill our cars up, or go shopping for groceries. When energy goes up EVERYTHING goes up. This I believe will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Nothing like skyrocketing electricity costs among the great unwashed (who can’t pay their electric bills now) to generate the riots to give the Obamassiah the excuse he needs to deploy his “Civilian Security Force” to shoot the unruly hordes and political dissidents. Just asking what he really has in mind as it looks pretty curious at this juncture.

Wherever and whoever Obama is pointing at as “disruptive” and urging you NOT to listen to, you better be listening to them. Like RUSH, for one.
