STRAIGHT FROM CPAC: A Speech for the Ages From Rush
Cal Thomas:
Rush Limbaughs extemporaneous speech to CPAC was a tour de force. It was Reagan-plus. It had vision, passion, humor, ridicule (not only for liberals, but for conservatives and Republicans who want to accommodate rather than dominate) and power.
Congressional Republicans and those who seek the presidency ought to listen and re-listen to this speech.
Rush embodies real leadership: he knows where he wants the country to go and he is unapologetic about giving directions.
He properly ridiculed liberals for their abject and proven failure to deliver the poor from poverty and wondered why the poor continue to vote for Democrats when their position remains unchanged; at least it is unchanged for those who would rather accept a government check than do what is necessary to climb out of poverty.
Congressional Republicans and those who seek the presidency ought to listen and re-listen to this speech. It is the core of conservatism and it embodies not only the spirit of true conservatism, but the spirit of Americas past and Americas future, if we will embrace it.

Is the video of this speech available online?
When I feel really down, Rush really knows how to ‘splain things where I get up fast.
FYI,Rush is going to be rebroadcasted at 11:45 PM EST tonight,on C-span 1.
Ask and ye shall receive. ;)
Contessa Brewer's head probably exploded when she saw Rush's speech.
Thanks, Miss Didi!
I can’t believe how fat he’s gotten...We need him...I pray he takes care of himself.
I loved his spanking of John Kerry when he quoted JK about how shameful it was for banks to use taxpayer’s money to throw lavish parties. Rush said something like, “Just who does he thinks funds all the parties he goes to?”
Well, What IS the Democratic reaction going to be ?
Will they Ignore Rush as if “he” never happened (with MSM help of course) ?
Based upon Fox’s RATINGS.....I think we might get a Reaction...we just might see a “Rush” attack by the left. OH...?....they already did that ? Well, the attack just might get BIGGER.....after all...... BHO WON !
by a few percent, and that % is dropping like a Rock.

Most of it you hear throughout his broadcasts over and over again, but I love hearing it again and again! Bravo, Rush, BRAVO! Far more inspiring than Obama’s dry ramblings.
Rush has a gift and he's been at this a long time, plus it was a totally different purpose / audience. I've seen Jindal several times and this wasn't his best delivery, but the substance was spot-on, and it didn't contain any jokes that placed his powers above God like Rush's ill-conceived (blasphemous) attempt at humor.
Jindal is an excellent speaker and will become a great orator with a little more time / practice. I think he's the real deal, unlike Romney (the more I learn about Romney, the more he scares the hell out of me regardless of his new found conservative talking points).
The speech by RUSH was great. It is really a shame/sham that are own leadership is so pathetic. If RUSH came out in support of a new party(The conservatives) that would scare the hell out of the rinos for sure.
Another great line was when he said “Now I know you’re not used to hearing Liberals made fun of this way”.
Then looked straight at the camera and added: “Get used to it!”
RUSH certainly hit a home run in the bottom of the 9th. I thought his âno prompterâ statement was right on.BTW, this speech was no different than his talk show. I heard it all before but he delivered great today.
Did anyone catch the editing that C-SPAN did when it replayed Rush’s address? They cut out most of the “new castrati” segment.
I was there live. In the Regency Ballroom.
It WAS a tour de force.
