I remember it well. Rampant inflation (interest on a home loan reached, at one point, around 20%) Disco, horribly bad haircuts on men (remember the "perm" some white guys had?), polyester leisure suits, American cars that were pieces of junk, like the Pinto, the Maverick, and everything that came off of the AMC assembly line.
