I admire Congressman Peter King---he just doesn't give a rat's ass who he angers, he is going to suggest what's right whether it makes him popular or not. He created a fire storm suggesting its time for the US government to more closely monitor Mosques in the US. He fought the Democrats in congress to provide whistle blowers with immunity for reporting suspicious activities and mitigating terrorist threats relating to transportation security, Hey also was a fighter for the cause of "Libel tourism"
Congressman King just returned from Gitmo. Everything you have heard about the detention center housing terrorist prisoners has been "over the top" negative. The mainstream media, along with the move-on and dailykos moonbats, have created an image of Gitmo that puts it somewhere between a Siberian Gulag and a Nazi Concentration Camp. That is a fabrication.
What King has found was the Gitmo prisoners are receiving a better treatment than they would in American Prisons, and his analysis has been backed up by President Obama's own deputies. So the question becomes, if Gitmo is a humane prison, why are we closing it? More from Congressman King below:

We really need to close all mosques in the USA, period. Islam is not compatible with freedom. Period. It’s way past time that Americans recognize that fact.
While I am pleased Rep King is saying so, we’ve seen reports to that effect for several years.
The idea that Gitmo is a well-run, humane detention center simply does not jive with the orthodox talking points established by the left-leaning media. The left don’t even care that much about the prisoners at Gitmo except to the extent that it gave them an angle with which to attack President Bush. Yes, there were complaints about inhumane treatment from some of the inmates and their lawyers, as if that’s a trustworthy bunch who would never lie about anything. Of course the media eagerly believed false reports of mistreatment because it fits their agenda.
I wonder what they will do with the $500,000,000 bulding.
Nice thought, but Constitutionally problematic. Unless you want to give the left even more power to go after churches.
I know. I’m just venting...
But I believe my thoughts on islam are valid.
