How is this a disaster? This was one appearence. The attention span of the people he was trying to reach (not the chorus as such) are as short as a gnat.
People live and learn. I've seen Jindal several times and he has always been a clear, concise kind of guy. Not a lot of "uh's" and um's". For some conservatives this was a test for their hopes and dreams. Need for improvement when jumping from one level to another is nothing new so let's just presume that this is a lesson learned.
Jindal has plenty of time to hone his appearence but he needs to simply reduce his audience size in his mind as being a bayou town and he will come across as intelligent, informed and genuine. We've got 2010 before we even shoot for 2012 so let's keep our gunpowder dry.
Once again, the media is applying the Dick Button School of Critcism on something that has here to fore used the Paula Abdul School. Making something out of nothing.
