You are exactly right. We were threatened and harassed by the Teamsters when I was a girl. I had to be escorted to and from school by a guard for a couple of years. Thugs.
Dad kept the shotgun handier than usual. Fortunately, it never came to that. A few flattened tires in the company parking lot, and harrassing phone calls in the night was all the cowards could come up with.
The strike ended after a few months, but Pop made a friend for life so far as the company's owner was concerned.
