We rent a condo on the beach in Florida every year in the beginning of May. You can’t beat the prices! One the many things I love about homeschooling :)
We’ve been to Myrtle Beach twice in May, and this September will be our second weeklong stay at Lake Norman, near Charlotte. We’re having a baby in June, so I didn’t want to drive far; living on vacation with a newborn isn’t any more difficult than being at home, but driving with one (and eight siblings) is awful.
It’s harder to plan now that we’ve got one in college, but she has a certain allowance for excused absences, if she gets her work turned in. I’m trying to persuade her to stay home, go to school, and take care of all the pets, but she’s not going for it.
