[Audio of this arrogant anti free speech senator with article]

Every once in a while, Democratic senators visit their home states just to remind the local folks what arrogance sounds like.

Democract Senator Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico visited New Mexico recently. While he was there, he went on the air with Jim Villanucci of KKOB Radio in Albuquerque.

“KKOB used to live under the Fairness Doctrine,” Bingaman asserted.

“Yeah,” Villanucci replied. “We played music.”

It was somewhat ironic that Bingaman’s was promoting censorship of the radio while speaking on the radio, but that irony seemed to go right over his head.

What do you expect, he was the most left leaning Senator until BHO.

I know about Jeff, and it is personal. He beat my friend “Jack” Schmidtt in his bid for re-election to the Senate, in the mid-1980’s while I was living in NM.

I knew his uncle, the local Demo King Maker, who got Jeff the nomination. His uncle was a well known local loan shark, who got his hold in Grant County during the Great Depression.

Republican Congressman Greg Walden, a former owner of five radio stations in Oregon including a “classic rock” station joked that the Fairness Doctrine is “the musical equivalent” of “every time we’d play a classic rock song we’d have to play a polka!”

The jokes just write themselves. Along with the tragedy.

The Republican leadership have to come out *now* and threaten that if the Democrats censor radio, then when Republicans get back into power, they *will* censor both TV and Hollywood. The Republicans have to let the leftist entertainment industry and the MSM know, that if MSNBC puts someone on the air like Olbermann, *by law* they will have to give equal time to someone like Oliver North.

Christ Matthews? G. Gordon Liddy.

Katie Couric? Ann Coulter.

If some lefty weener gets to spew anti-conservative views at the Oscars, during the same broadcast, Michelle Malkin gets to have her say at the podium.

The bottom line is that both Hollywood and the MSM have to be told that they had better stop this “fairness doctrine” crap, NOW, or that they are going to be next.

The Republican leadership have a bad habit of replacing Democrat unfairness with fairness. This doesn’t cut the mustard, because as soon as the Democrats are back in power, they restore the unfairness. This means that the Republicans have no choice but to make the Democrats *afraid* of being unfair, because they are *afraid* of the payback.
