Al Qaida linked Abu Sayyaf terrorist group is making a comeback. Terrorists are like cockroaches. Just when you think you have them eradicated, a new bunch reappear. The Al Qaida linked Abu Sayyaf terrorist group is making a resurgence in the Philippines. With US assistance,the Philippine military had this terrorst organization on the ropes in recent years. The Phillippines will need assistance once again to defeat Abu Sayyaf. With President Obama wanting to scale back military operations and spending, this assistance may not materialize.

But the author is correct. AQ has sooo many regional offshoot groups. In Sudan there is Al-Shabab (The Youth), in Syria there is Jund al-Sham (Brigade of the North), in Iran there is Jundallah (Brigade of Allah), in Pakistan there are Harakat al-Jihad al-Islami (Islamic Jihad Movement), Fidayin al-Islam (Martyrs of Islam), Laskar-i-Taiba (Army of ...don't know what Taiba means), Tahrik-i-Taliban (Taliban Movement), Jaysh al-Islam (Army of Islam), and on and on....

They all need to be wiped out. Pakistan is a tub full of scum. We need some NATO/US/Indian troops to be the sponge.
