Is it Jake Tapper or Jake Scrapper? I am beginning to think the later as amongst the Obamagobbed media, ABC News' senior White House correspondent Tapper is emerging as the man ever ready with the pointed question for Obama and his administration. We may even call Tapper the Sam Donaldson of the Obama era.
We all remember the many long years when Sam Donaldson would stand before Republican presidents (oh, and Clinton, too) and their press secretaries and, in that accusing monotone, ask the the most pointed question of the day, don't we? Of course, we also remember the less than newsworthy subjects he often interjected there, too. Like the question he asked George W. Bush in 2006.
"Mr. President, should Mel Gibson be forgiven?"
Who cares, Sam? And even if we did care, why should this be a question that a president must weigh in on. It's as bad as the fool Washington Post reporter that recently asked Obama about "ARod." Would a little relevance be too much to ask when our supposedly hard-edged media are speaking truth to power?
So, in that way, ABC's Jake Tapper is decidedly not like Sam Donaldson. Donaldson was a petulant, self-promoter. Tapper, on the other hand, is about relevance, he's interested in real news. I don't think we'll ever see Jake Tapper asking a president about a silly, drug abusing baseball player. Nor do I think we'll see Tapper taking thousands in "farming" subsidies like Donaldson did even as he sat in the White House Press Corps cynically attacking the very administration he is getting handouts from...

Mr. Trapper will find himself on the enemies list and never have an opportunity to ask another question.
Joe the plumber
Rick Santelli the trader
Jack Tapper the reporter
Let’s thank them for speaking the truth about things that really matter to Americans.
No bones about it: Tapper is a liberal Democrat first and foremost. He is a reporter and will ask more serious questions, but he despises Republicans. He wrote a book about the 2000 election, and pushes the lie that Bush stole it. He will never go for the jugular with Obama. He may come close, but will then turn away.
Tapper was very fair to Rush when the controversy started over comments regarding Obama and how Rush hoped that Obama’s policies fail.
Tapper actually contacted Rush and quoted him accurately while others took the Obama talking points and ran with it.
Yeah, Tapper is an oddity. What a refreshing contrast to Olbermann and Matthews and all the rest of the Obama sycophants. Are Olbermann and Matthews still fighting over who gets to perform the exalted one’s ablutions? May I suggest a compromise - they should take turns kissing his ass.
I didn’t know this. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll give this Tapper fellow a little more scrutiny. If reporters would just do their job, I’d be happy. Just look at the endless queue of moronic worshipers who act as the annoited one’s apologists. It’s sickening. I contend that if the MSM had done its job properly Obama would’ve gone the route of McGovern. Friend argue that I’m wrong. They think it was a foregone conclusion; that the electorate has turned into a majority of losers (unlike the past, the swarms of morons actually vote now) and they will always vote for more privileges and giveaways. They think we’ve past the Rubicon and there’s no turning back. The drones, slugs, and morons are in the driver’s seat.
“He is a reporter and will ask more serious questions”
One thing one can count on with reporters is that their desire for career advancement is greater than their desire to see any president succeed. Getting yourself a spot on the news because you asked a president a tough question is like winning a gold medal. This doesn’t mean their questions are fair or even handed, it just means they want to ask a question that puts the president in a corner. They’ve done it with every president since Jimmy Carter, and will continue.
Don't bother.
Jake has axed his last press conference question.
The word has gone out from the messiah and Jake can stay at home and save time.
