The noose around US Representative John Murtha is tightening. ABC News has the story and National Journal comments.
Bill Russell challenged John Murtha and lost 42-58. Bill has raised $200,000 already for 2010 challenge. The voters of Johnstown and the 12th District will have two years to get to know Bill and his family. Bill had only been in the district for less than a year. The voters did not know him and it was the year of Obama. Bill is positioned to demonstrate to voters of the 12th that he is the person who can represent their interests and not the interests of defense contractors and lobbyists.
Do you remember Curt Weldon? A Congressman from the Southeast whose house was raided two weeks before the election. Weldon was a 20 year incumbent. Gone. As will Jack Murtha be gone.
Good! Glad to hear it.
That is also encouraging news from Bob Guzzardi, not just Bill becoming known in the district but that noose tightening on Murtha, that's overdo.
