hmmmm... It looks like some of the HTML tags didn’t go through right. I don’t know why but I hope it’s still a good read.
As long as they are talking, they don’t believe what they are saying.
So far, the argument seems to hinge on “Suck” let the facts be dammed, perhaps a query as to “when” the Maine Economy was producing jobs would make a dent?
Read my tag line.
I recently read somewhere that "Any revolutionary becomes a conservative the instant his revolution succeeds." and It got me to thinking (ouch). Considering the fact that the left has become so dominant in our countries major institutions, and as such so determined to squelch any opposition or dissent, are they not the real "reactionaries" in our society? Additionally, since the (hopefully) prevailing attitudes on the right favor lower taxes and minimal government intrusion on our lives are we not the real "liberals?"
I realize that semantic arguments are largely a waste of time, but it's always bothered me how the FDR definition of "liberal" and the Joe Stalin definition of "fascist" predominate.

I wonder why the Left has more billionaires supporting it now, and the miserable Libs hate the only economic system that keeps them from a bread line.
The Chinese have acquired more technology from us because of BJ and then developed more off of that.
The lax diplomatic relations with China has allowed China to now not only catch the US but to OWN the US.
BJ Clinton IS the cause of the economic meltdown in this country. He is the one who caused the entire sub prime mortgage debacle. He is the one that said that banks needed to look at "alternative" forms of income for people to qualify for loans. Alternative income like food stamps, subsidized housing, and the like. Then he threatened prosecution on banks that didn't comply.
In other words, banks weren't DEregulated. The were REGULATED into unsafe business practices.
I find it interesting that Franklin Raines was Clintons budget director, and then went on to Fannie Mae, and absolutely destroyed it, and the entire economy.
“Btw, FDR’s new deal did work. Our GDP grew every year since the New Deal was implemented in 1933”
If double digit unemployment was your goal, then it “worked”, from 1933 to 1940 (and would have continued without WWII). Although in his defense, FDR did say in a state of the union speech (I think 1934) that Social Security would have to be privitized at some point in the future. Sound familiar?
The Islamofascists will be in here lopping heads off unbelievers like your pal "normalais" faster than you can say "spit". :-)
Ask him if he thinks his head might be able to get out a few words of protest after the sawing is over.
