Why can’t a warm state move in this direction?

Over 75% of the terrain in MT you would really be dumb to go to without a weapon...starting with anywhere there are large cats (scare me more than bears).

Noooo! Already too many Californicators have discovered my state. Now the rest of the country. Nooooo!
It is cold, dreary unfriendly place. Honest I swear on my official Obama Bible.

MT is also crawling with 'rats in Butte, the college towns and Helena.

We have a couple of sayings up here in Montana. Let me share them with you and see if you can figure out our situation:
Montana - It's a beautiful place to starve to death.
or
Happiness is another Californian leaving Montana with an empty wallet and a frostbitten ass!

You better have a lot of dough or raid a Costco before you bunker down in Montana.

Me and my family of 3 hard-core Reagan conservatives would bring 28 guns in the back of the U-Haul truck. Are we meeting the all the requirements to emigrate from Kalifornistan to your State?

I’m originally from Romania. I survived 26 years under Ceausescu. Trust me: you don’t know anything about being cold and hungry.

When the new state of Monidawyoutah is formed we will do just fine. As Glenn Beck says, “Wesurroundthem”.
Montana is the only place. Even with ‘Rat senators and a ‘Rat governor.
As someone opined once; “Democracy is / will survive until the masses discover they can vote themselves something for nothing”, or words to the effect. We are there.

Already too many Californicators have discovered my state. The problem is they don't assimilate. They leave their location because it sucks. Then they push for the same conditions in their new location until it sucks as much as, if not more than, their old location.
Californicators, go suck somewhere else!

"MT is also crawling with 'rats in Butte, the college towns and Helena."Bozeman has been overrun with 'em. The Gallatin Valley will not be the same after the last farmer and/or rancher is gone and the next community of small mansions is built. They are all the way up into the benches. Changes every year.

Touche.
But Montana does have a dismal economy and a high cost of living, so anyone moving here would do well to have reserves, or a very marketable skill, and I'm not talking nurse or teacher because even they have a hard time finding work.
The best plan would be to bring your own business.
