Satire, but real. Several years back USPS conducted an experiment where local and district management personnel didn't show up at work.
No one noticed.
Estimates were this could have continued for weeks with no damage to service.

Right the only jobs in the stimulus are union NOT PRIVATE INDUSTRY. This is designed to expand the labor party, coffers and voting pool for future elections for the Liberals.

Had GM canned more of its white collar workers...they would not be needing a bailout
One thing about business....if they are over paying the non-management employees....you KNOW they are over paying the management.
The government should not mandate this....but, they took bailout money...

Well, this administration isn’t just simply concerned with the number of jobs. The type of job is also important.” Boy - isn't that telling. While GM might be top-heavy, for the government to just come out and say "get rid of 10K more employees" from ANY field of work in the company is insane. Particularly from a president who ran on and have promised that he will put Americans to work...
What a lying sack of dung. And those in CONgress who likely back this up.
