I understand that. Pay now or pay later...the banking bailout was a calculated risk. Should it have been done ? I don't know.
the FDIC is underfunded, even after doubling the fees they charge banks....taxpayers are going to end up footing the bill down the road.

Hythloday was pissed at the salaries and bonuses.
Well, with the passage of the welfare bill, no officer can get compensation larger than the POSTUS.

Yup...Now lets see...CRA demanded of banks to LOWER their lending standards.....The bankers said...are u crazy...We'll never get paid back!....That's why we have STANDARDS!....so the Dems say...Don't worry..U can sell those foolish loans to Fannie and Freddie....That gets u off the hook!....Easy huh!

Yeah, I’ve found a whole new respect for the French Revolution. We didn’t need to go that route because once we showed the Brits they couldn’t afford to own and control us (the colonies) we were free men indeed.

The French needed to remove their oppressors and do it thoroughly. They did a pretty good job. I’m studying for future reference.
