Correct me if I am wrong, but are there not 58 Democrats in the Senate? Fox is reporting that Sherrod Brown, a democratic senator from Ohio, will be the 60th vote in favor of the stimulus bill. But what happened to the three GOP votes? If Snowe, Collins and Specter all voted in favor of the stimulus, would the total not be 61, with the 62nd coming from Brown? Anyone who can help explain this to me will be thanked.
He’ll just be replaced by another Marxist useful idiot to occupy that Senate seat for the next half-century. At least the corpulent manslaughterer was good for us as a bad guy. A nobody is less effective for us.
I count it as 41 R’s, 58 D-aligners (56 actual + Lieberman + Socialist Sanders), 1 Vacancy (that Minnesota mess).
