A few people have been e-mailing me asking if I planned on the Conservative Political Action Conference this year and the answer is an emphatic yes. The reason why I've waited so long to announce that I'll be in D.C. is because I had to get my financial ducks lined up, in attempts to cover as much of the trip as I could myself. As a poor college student who has been traveling recently to get involved with Ohio College Republicans and state politics, the money is tight, especially when a lot of my time is being used for pro bono campaign and organization work. Here's what I'm looking at:

Amen. Hard working kid with an opportunity to be at bloggers row as an invite. An Acer laptop for $260? It must have Windows CE..poor kid.
I went to CPAC twice in college, and it was absolutely incredible. To see so many great leaders in one place was hard to beat. I became acquainted with a few big names there..enough that they began recognizing me and other friends at other events to stop and say hello and chat.
Great idea to try to go. This year should be incredible with Rush, Sarah Palin among others. The conservatives are in a good place to regain the leadership of the party. Moderation has failed.
It's probably one of the new "netbooks." They are mostly in that price range...well, the low-end ones are. But no, they aren't running Windows CE; most are running Windows XP Home or some variant of GNU/Linux. And, they're quite full-featured, hardware-wise.
