although i can certainly agree with the decision to shoot im guessing it may not have been a vbied since there doesnt appear to have been a secondary explosion. i could be wrong.
To: clyde_m
1500 meter shot. Pretty close for a missile engagement. Nice shot.

Jimmah Carter probably thinks the use of a Hellfire is a "disproportionate response", considering it INSTANTLY neutralized the threat.
Hardware like that and the brave men and women that know how and when to use it make me happy.

I thought I would tune in for a quick bit of good news before turning in; there’s lots of groovey posts at Patriot Room.
I liked the A-10 vs the Taliban Bikers!
God bless our troops.

How do they know it was a suicide bomber?
The truck was parked in what looked like a ‘who cares’ location?
To: GodfearingTexan; clyde_m
it may not have been a vbied since there doesnt appear to have been a secondary explosion. Yes, and why would they wait until the truck was parked in front of a building, instead of engaging it on "Route Jennifer" before it got to "the canal" or "the tanks"? Also looks like the truck had time to back in through a gate. Maybe the bombers live there or maybe it's just some guys who own a truck.
To: wideminded
IIRC a hellfire has a boatload more HE than that. The front fo the truck has damage but no secondary explosion and it doesnt seem to have move more than a few feet.
Somethings not right there.
