Bush set up Gitmo and the tribunals. Are you telling me that he couldn’t have asked for speedy action on the major cases? He had years available to him to get such cases done. He didn’t.
There are good and legitmate reasons for having these guys twisting in the wind, so to speak.
And probably no one thought a new “president” would come along and just let them go.
