I was pleased that Michael Steele said: " one of the most critical battles for the GOP is to capture New York's 20th congressional seat formerly held by U.S. Sen. Kristen Gillibrand, D-N.Y."

Minority Leader Assemblyman Jim Tedisco is a strong conservative, and a FIGHTER. We need more conservative FIGHTERS in Congress.

Tedisco was on Mark Levin's radio show, and Levin also called Tedisco a FIGHTER.

When I attended a prolife dinner a number of years ago, where Henry Hyde was the principal speaker, Jim Tedisco was there, as well.

I hope conservatives from around the country will support Jim Tedisco for Congress.

i will be the “boots on the ground” in Dutchess County for Jim. (I don’t live in the district.) This district is so geographically large, folks from out the area can easily get there.

I live about 200 feet outside of the district. xcamel is the FReeper to talk to who knows the district the best.

If xcamel told me that there was driving to the polls to be done or something like that, I’d do it in a heartbeat (I mean that, BTW), but other than that, it’s a pretty solidly conservative district that is pretty much a lock to go to Tedisco.

WTG!

And please consider writing letters to the editor for Tedisco.

Tedisco is asking for that on his website.

Assemblyman Tim Gordon ... can we say he is the DEM frontrunner?

http://timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=765708

i would not call this a lock ... lean GOP, but it is fair to say this is a swing district. If this is not a swing district, then what is a “swing district”?

This is NOT a ‘lean GOP’ district. It’s the reddest district in the state. Dems like Gillibrand with zero past who can pretend to be conservative AND take advantage of the drunken domestic violence ridden incumbent, don’t grow on trees. Even the Dems here will tell you that the Republican nominee is the guy who gets the seat. And Tedisco (RINO) is a guy who’s name has been plastered all over this place since the dawn of time. He’s a household name. Unless Hillary resigns as SoS and runs for the seat, it’s going to Tedisco.

Tedisco is no RINO. As usual, you have your “facts” wrong.

Mark Levin would not have had him on his show, and call Tedisco a fighter, if he were a RINO.

As usual? eh? Care to back that up?

As usual, you’re a moron. When you back up your statement with facts, I’ll back up mine.

Tedisco is a RINO. Always has been, always will be. Fact remains that he can win the seat.

‘“Jim Tedisco has been a true friend to hunters and gun owners, as he understands the crucial importance of safeguarding the right to bear arms. His voting record and vocal, public support for the Second Amendment have been clear, consistent and genuinely appreciated by gun owners and our association,” said Tom King president of the state Rifle and Pistol Association.’

Read everyone of my posts, and you will see Tedisco is a STRONG CONSERVATIVE, and not only that a FIGHTER.

Oh, yeah, read every one of your moronic posts and that’ll make Jim Tedisco into Duncan Hunter. So, please! Everyone, read them twice! If you concentrate hard enough, you can turn NY red!!

A fighter he is, a conservative, he ain’t. They are few and far between in NY politics and Jim isn’t the worst of the RINOs, but he ain’t no Barry Goldwater either.

Another endorsement by SARATOGA COUNTY CLERK KATHY MARCHIONE which shows Tedisco is a fighter (btw, she is talking about former Gov. Eliot Spitzer for those not from NYS who might not know).

“Courage is a rare thing in politics – time and again, Jim Tedisco has shown the courage to lead.

As Assembly Republican Leader, Jim Tedisco stood up to a Governor who had tried to steamroll New Yorkers with higher taxes and spending. Jim also stood by me, and my fellow County Clerks, when that same Governor considered taking action against us for refusing to support an unlawful policy.”

Rudy’s a fighter too. Doesn’t make him a conservative.

This doesn’t mean that I”m at all against Tedisco winning this seat. However, let’s not get ourselves confused about who we’re electing here. Seems to me that’s what you’re doing.

“Tedisco, who received national press attention when he fought then-Gov. Eliot Spitzer over licenses for illegal immigrants, “

Another case where Tedisco fought hard about something very important to conservatives. NO DRIVER’S LICENSES FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS!

“Tedisco has been a solid voice for pragmatic conservative governance. He vocally opposed the illegal immigrant license fiasco, he publicly called for Spitzer to resign, he stood up for tax cuts and caps, and he has continuously led the charge to fight cronyism, as shown by his direction of his caucus to oppose the appointment of DiNapoli for Comptroller.”

excerpt http://redalbany.blogspot.com/2008/12/better-know-red-albany-james-tedisco.html

Jim Tedisco, a conservative and a fighter - it’s the consensus among conservatives.

I just went to the website and volunteered for everything.

We need to get a grip on this nonsense in DC.

I work at the 2nd largest private employer in Glens Falls and I can be very persuasive...even with a bunch of union guys.

Thanks for the ping, Sun!

Jim is a friend, and a really good guy. He gets a little loony now and then , but on the whole, he OK.

Spats like this are the reason upstate NY has turned “puke purple” Tedisco is a moderate conservative. You both however are turning “perfect” into the enemy of “what we really need” at the moment. You also **both** need to endorse Peter Guiderelli for JT’s seat after he **WINS**.
