my point was, is that workers in foreign nations are making those profits
I am just flummoxed at Unions that never went on strike when foreign plants opened up
If there was ever a just cause for a union to strike it would have been when a foreign base of manufacturing was opened.
It isnt’t just about saving money, it is about capital equipment moving to foreign econimic competitors, skills leaving, parts makers leaving, foreign manufacturing ramping up to support these new plants, service jobs in those new plants now go to foreign workers instead of people here
It is the loss of the job itself that bothers me the most. I dont want to hear people chime in on Union skulduggary, that is a different issue
the issue is American companies moved oerations overseas to keep their profits high, and this cost Americans jobs, and THAT brings down the economy
I agree. I have seen it too. I grew up near Flint MI. It is now almost a ghost town. A shadow of its former self.
