Yesterday former Vice President Al Gore braved a major Ice storm to discuss global warming with congress. Maybe the ice storm was a message from Heaven "Hey Al, Enough of this Nonsense !"

After all, for most of the United States and much of the world, this has been one of the colder autumns in well over a decade, with reports of unseasonable snowfalls and plummeting temperatures from the American Great Plains to the Alps of Europe and into the inner reaches of Asia. Even China's official news agency reported that Tibet had suffered its "worst snowstorm ever" in October. In the U.S., the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month, and ranked it as only the 70th-warmest October in 114 years. In fact, it's likely that 2008 will go down as the coldest year since in the United States since 1997.

So what am I missing here. The world's average temperature is LOWER today than it was ten years ago Even the UN has admitted this, but the Environazis are ignoring the real truth.

Yeah, but....yeah, but....global warming has been changed. It's now "climate change". All the better to convince the gullible that, since any weather change in any direction, especially extreme ones, is man's fault, so as to provide justification for shutting down all the world's vibrant economies and drive us back to a primitive way of life that'll just give all of us the warm fuzzies.

That is, all except algor and his cronies, who will of course continue to junket around the world in their gas-guzzling jets, drive to and from conferences in their gas-guzzling stretch limos, and live in their McMansions that consume 10times the energy the average household does. Just like algor's mansion near Nashville.

"The British High Court has ruled that Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" is partisan propaganda and contains at least 11 scientific errors. It ruled the film should not be shown in classrooms unless accompanied by a document pointing out the scientific errors. The Court also ruled classroom time should be given for presenting an alternative view.

Despite the lack of any real science to back CO2 based global warming and increasing evidence that the whole theory is false, liberals have embraced the notion as the ideal vehicle to establish government control of key industries and force the masses into government control of their lives all in the name of saving the planet. The current cooling trend that is obvious to anyone just looking at the global weather reports has made Al Gore look like a buffoon. However the now climate change “crisis” is too good an opportunity for liberals to abandon. Obama will start us down this road but,given the current financial crisis it will quickly become obvious that this is not the direction the country is willing to go. The American people will not tolerate freezing or shivering in darkened homes or standing in long lines for a ration of $5 per gallon gasoline to save the planet especially when Al Gore and the liberal elites continue their lavish lifestyles.

Lowest temperature in 10 years? Just more proof of global warming.

This is the global warming bubble. Just like the other bubbles we have seen I hope it pops. They have gotten people in such a panic that I hope they realize that they have been duped.

I am all for being conservative with the things we have. I recycle what I can. I just don’t do those things in the name of saving the planet from me. I do it because it is the correct thing to do.

Most liberals that I know are very wasteful people. They talk about saving the planet while throwing away whole plates of food.

The funny thing is I don’t believe that many people are panicked by GW. Most of the people I know joke about it regularly. It is the media and the power hungry politicians that are pushing it. It never shows up on the radar of most people when asked about their most important concerns.

I'll second that. They scream from the rooftops about saving the planet, then eat weird crap that is only grown/produced in certain areas that requires a significantly higher carbon footprint to get it to you than do the regular, normal foodstuffs (arugula, for example).
