Just wait until they outlaw tobacco. We'll be having drive by shootings because someone was selling illegal tobacco on someone else's territory.

"I simply turn on the Golden EIB Microphone and share my honest passions and beliefs with people. And they're free to go elsewhere. They're free to ignore; they're free to believe; they're free to be entertained, I don't care. They're free to do whatever they want. But a lot of people aren't free to smoke cigarettes where they want; they're not free to drink where they want; they're not free to eat the kind of food they want to eat; they're not free to eat trans fats; they're not free to drive certain places. Pretty soon we're going to be told what kind of cars we have to drive. I can't cause that. I can't restrict anybody's freedom. We've elected a guy who can, does, and wants to, all under the guise of saving us. So I appreciate the effort, and I appreciate somewhat losing my temper here. But don't compare me ever to an authoritarian who thinks so little of people that without him they can barely breathe on their own. Don't ever do that."

One simple question:

If one does not want to be around tobacco smoke, then why is one living in an apartment complex? Take charge yourself and move into a smoke-free apartment building or a single-unit home. Government is not your mommy and daddy.

Off topic but this reminds me of an article in our morning paper this morning. A flasher was in WalMart looking at the video display and approached another customer and asked him where he might purchase porn videos. He then flashed the guy. The customer promptly showed him a badge and arrested the flasher. If you are going to flash a customer in WalMart, be sure its not an off duty policeman!

Why not just put all chiiiildren in a plastic bubble and feed them through a tube until they reach the age of 21? Same difference.

I think it may be the other way around. After 21 (or 18), put them into the government bubble tube.

All these "californiaized" kids . who are kept away from the evils of tobacco smoke. wood smoke . caffeinated soda and red meat all seem to end up allergic to everything! Remember when over half the country smoked and asthma was rare?...gee....that would be an interesting study, but it wont be done because the anti-smoking zealots are not interested in fact or science, just their agenda.

They won't be able to smell the daisies or breathe spring air...but they'll be saaaafe!

That spring air is full of pollen, spores and aromatic organic compounds that plants release that time of year.

.Why not just put all chiiiildren in a plastic bubble and feed them through a tube until they reach the age of 21?

After they come out of that bubble they face all sorts of Hell, because they never developed any natural resistance.

The anti-smoking nazis won’t stop until there is not one place left in America where one can smoke.

According to the recently-passed SCHIP (socialized medicine) program, you now have to keep them in the bubble until age 30.

Then Social Security takes over.

Does any independent or moderate voter in the world think that emulating Kalifornia in anything is a good idea?

No freedom, no money and bankrupt. Don’t let this happen to you.

I’ve smoked for 16 years now. I eat all sorts of “bad” food, red meat, fried foods, fast food (in moderation). I drink non-diet soda and non-lite beer. I take my whiskey straight up. Most of my exercise I get from walking or doing my chores, other than that I’m pretty much a couch potato. In the last 10 years, I’ve gotten sick to the point where I needed to see a doctor 1 time. And it turned out that the malady was cured by taking a different over the counter pill than the ones I tried. All of the wishy-washy tofu eating, anti-smoking, yoga nuts at my work have to go to the Doc at least twice a year. I say man up and quit being pansies, you’ll live longer!

Heehee, I guess the flasher thought that “bulge” near the shopper’s waistband meant he was a welcome target!

LOL..I agree. You ever notice that the health nuts want us to eat the same leaves and twigs that peasants ate 5oo yrs ago...when life expectancy was about...ahh...35. ....and here I am over a half century old, in good health, never wore a bicycle helmet, never strapped into a car seat, started driving in cars that WERE NOT EVEN BUILT WITH SEAT BELTS...just amazing I survived/s
