I urge everyone to research Hellman and the effect lobbyists have on legislators. I looked up 'The Hill' and it says that Hellman has relationships on the Hill that other lobbyists only dream about and as you said he was Hastert's aide.
Hastert was corrupt getting a meaningless highway extension built in IL where his "trust" bought and sold farm land for a big profit where the value was enhanced by building the road with taxpayer money.

Exactly... this is the stuff we should be trying to clean up.. not taking out tiddlie winks and going home like so many demand over and over again... people like Hellman would just follow over to whoever we replaced the GOP with.
