You’re new, aren’t ya? ..else you wouldn’t ask.
Most all Republicans are not Conservatives.

Fed Up long ago.
The GOP doesn’t represent me.
The GOP falls into two camps.
1. Don’t give a darn.
2. They’re in on it and support it.
It’s really that simple.
As a new thing?
No.
I'm disgusted — period.
Most of what we have left we are trying to apply some heavy duty starch to.
We have doubts it will hold them up.
“Anyone else fed up with the GOP?.......”
When McCain won the nomination....
I’ve been fed up with the GOP for about five years. My congressman is Mark Kirk (of IL), a Republican who is pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, pro-gun control, pro-illegal alien, pro-spending increases, and anti-Iraq surge. I think that he should run as a Democrat, since hes more liberal than many Democrats. I know many Republicans who voted for him, although those Republicans usually disagree with him. I leave that section, of my ballot, blank.
Reagan: “I didn’t leave the Democratic party. The party left me.”
Robroy in 2007: I didn’t leave the Republican party. The republican party left me.
I am going on two years out of the Republican party. I take this VERY seriously:
“America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.” — opening lines of 101 Things To Do ‘Til The Revolution by Claire Wolfe

Nobody really wants to say out loud when we have left the “awkward” stage. It is deep and broad for the obvious ramifications of taking that final step. But the people are being pushed hard. It will be interesting to see what the future holds. When they DO respond, I want to be out of the way.
I agree with you. I voted for Baldwin for two reasons. McCain is too liberal, and I knew that he couldn’t win my state, IL.
My first cynical thought exactly.
Why not?
Do you have proof of that? What is your reasoning for this?
I am not new I simply am a lurker most of the time.
You say wouldn’t ask. Or do you mean I shouldn’t ask because that may tip the boat.
