Is it just me or this phrase almost as annoying as "speaking truth to power." I hate hippies.

It's not just you. That expression became trite and empty long ago.

I hate hippies.

They're useless.

Close, but not as annoying. "Speaking etc." is still the most annoying leftist phrase ever created. Just try speaking truth to Obama, and see what happens. How dare you question The Great Spreader. The people who use that phrase wouldn't know truth if it came up and bit them you know where.

At the end of the day, cliche phrases like military industrial complex, or speaking truth to power are the low hanging fruit of the hope and change hippies and those of their ilk.
