When I heard that for the 1st time, I thought how perfect!

We support The President, but not the mission, err policies.

I’m supporting Bambi as much as the liberals supported Bush. Looks like I’m going to have an easy four years.

Rush, as usual, defined clearly a course of action which Congressional Republicans should see and follow:

Liberal policies are detrimental to this nation. Period. We can support our president and adamantly oppose his dangerous and harmful policies.

Join me in sending this message to Republicans:

Just as FRD tried to spend his way out of the Great Depression (didn’t work), Barack Obama is going to try and spend his way out of this recession, but it won’t work.

FDR’s policies prolonged Depression by 7 years, UCLA economists calculate

Right on! Rush sure seems to be framing it up to compare with the left's "we support the troops, but not their mission". We have Stewart and the left beginning to call Rush borderline treasonous. Sounds like Rush is setting them up.

Rush is right: we support Obama but not his policies.

That sounds like "We support the Troops but not the war."

Yeah I'm not sure where he's going on this. There's no sense to the concept of supporting Obama, but not his policies. They can't be logically decoupled.

Or is this Rush's point entirely? Is he playing a rhetorical game?

It’s different. Democrats supported neither.

Remember Dingy Harry comparing the troops to Nazis? Remember sKerry saying that our troops were bombing civilians and women and children? Remember Obama saying that our troops were air-aiding civilians?

One does not have to support Obama’s policies when his policies are going to be disastrous for America.

Remember: “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”

Rush does make me laugh. I am more libertarian than he is but I do enjoy his wit and when he takes Washington, D.C. to task. I just wish he was just as hard on GWB in the last eight years. My mother will be tuning in for the first time today to hear his response.

It sounds to me like the Big BO can't take a little opposition.

What difference does 2012 make? He's got 95% of the black vote locked up which gives him a 12% head start on WHOEVER the Republicans pick. Most people who voted for him didn't vote for him on his merits the first time so they're not going to be bothered with actual facts the second time, either.

What I think is more likely are dramatic gains in Congress in 2010.
