"Look Deep Into My Eyes": Experts Agree Obama Using NLP
Evil Conservative Radio ^ | 25 January 2009 | EC

Just in case anyone thinks that the reports of our new President Barack Hussein Obama using 70's style-mass-hypnosis techniques on his audiences are overblown, I came across a series of Barack Obama videos on an NLP training site. Apparently the experts agree not only that he's using it, but that he does it so well they can use his techniques to train others.

> 3. People actually study this and the article is about the fact that NLP trainers are using Obama videos to train people in NLP techniques.

Quick! Send the cops around to Anthony Robbins — he ought to be arrested for teaching NLP (or NAC as he calls it) He’s brainwashing people into buying more of his CDs!

If Obama is training his people to use NLP then he is doing nothing more nor less than you can do yourself, in the privacy of your own home, by subscription to the CD programs offered on the never-ending infomercials by Anthony Robbins.

If that is what he is doing, then good on ‘im: I’ve subscribed to Anthony Robbins’ CDs and found them to be quite valuable. That doesn’t mean that I can do mind control or hypnosis or any of the hysterical nonsense being alluded to on this thread.

> 1. Obviously his tactics don’t work on us for whatever reason. That doesn’t mean they don’t work.

NLP will not make someone do something that they do not want to do. Same with hypnosis. That is why Obama’s tactics do not work on us. Which is pretty mundane and unexciting, when you think about it.

> 2. He only needs it to work on 50.1% of the voters.

NLP will not make you vote Obama if you weren’t going to vote Obama in the first place. All it will do is present Obama in the best light that he can. He cannot do mind control with NLP. Not even on 50.1% of the voters.

> 4. But even that isn’t really the point. The NLP trainers know one of their own and to deny he is using what he is obviously using seems weird to me

I deny he is using hypnosis and mind control. He may well be using NLP. If he is, as I’ve said he’s no more dangerous than someone who has studied Tony Robbins.

I’d find it hillarious if one single expert would identify himself and claim that Obama is using NLP to mind-control people, staking his professional reputation on his opinion.

Much as I’d like it to happen, it ain’t gonna. Because it can’t.

"As for the “deep sense of foreboding” you mentioned, for the past 5-6 months I’ve also had what I can best describe a deep feeling of impending doom"

Strange you mention it but that's how I stared feeling in August. Sarah Palin snapped me out of it for a while but the bizarre adoration of BHO and watching the McTrain wreck brought it back again.

Listening to the media and BHO supporters makes me wonder if these people are truly conscious. They do not seem to have any desire or inclination to learn the truth. They seem to be able to lie to themselves and prefer living in a fog of fantasy and denial. Truly bizarre.

Exactly the same with me! I was encouraged for maybe 3 weeks following the convention, then one morning I awoke with the stark realization they just wouldn’t pull it off, and I reverted back to the same state.

Obama actually said at one time: “a light will shine down from somewhere, it will light upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will say to yourself, ‘I have to vote for Barack.’”

This is an excellent example of Ericsonian hypnosis. Start where they are and begin to build associations. I'm certainly not an expert, but this certainly looks like it as I understand it.

Clinton used a lot of similar "new age" type tools to influence people. I think liberals believe it is okay to manipulate, rather than to persuade people.

I enjoyed your reflections and we also know a big BO fan who now claims she is “fighting despair” - right after the guy won!

“Mommy we have to pray for the country really hard now.”
Another great thing for a smart kid to say. It does the heart good to hear the stories of kids that have not been brain washed by their teachers or the media. Glad to know they are out there!

because he talks so long without saying anything you can hang your hat upon.

That is an NLP technique known as being "artfully vague".

You know after posting it dawned on me why she probably called in sick.

I mentioned she worked in a very liberal office.

Maybe she didn’t want to go in and hear the celebrations when she felt such dispair. I think I will call her.

I believe that about Scientology. I think that’s how they get people after their “seminars” to think they are feeling better.

The only one suggesting that he is using it for mind control or that anyone should be arrested is you. I am merely pointing out some people’s thoughts on WHY he is being so successful at persuading so many people to follow him. You’re reading A LOT into this that just simply isn’t there

Oh yeah, and after going to many Pentecostal churches, I used to think they used some form of hypnotic technique, even if subconsciencely. That ‘uh’ at the end of every sentence can lull you into a hypnotic state, LOL!

I would never tell that to my mother’s family though. I like Thanksgiving and Christmas. And both my grandfather’s were preachers, and now my uncle is a Bishop of the Church of God.

And I tell you-uh, you must stand up-uh, to Satan-uh, and...

> The only one suggesting that he is using it for mind control or that anyone should be arrested is you.

Bollix. From your own article:

>> Just in case anyone thinks that the reports of our new President Barack Hussein Obama using 70's style-mass-hypnosis techniques on his audiences are overblown, I came across a series of Barack Obama videos on an NLP training site. (Emphasis mine -- DHTH)

> You’re reading A LOT into this that just simply isn’t there

Bollix again: I am reading slowly and with comprehension, armed with some knowledge arising from having studied NLP.

You, on the other hand, seem to have missed the salient point of the article, which I am on record as having called CRAP. With good reason, it would seem.

So Obama is using hypnosis via the tv? Come on now, hypnosis is about as real as the boogy man, Ive tried to be hypnotized, I about laughed at the guy doing it.

I don't know about the TV stuff, but hypnosis is real. I was skeptical too, until I saw a demonstration with a bunch of high school kids as subjects. The hypnotist told one 5 foot girl that she was a board of wood, and laid her across 2 saw horses, one at her shoulder blades, and one at her calves. She lay straight as a board without bending at the slightest, but that wasn't the impressive part. No, that part came when she had the 160-180 lb. football player stand on her stomach and she still didn't bend in the slightest. You could argue that she was just that physically fit, and had that much muscle control, but I knew these kids. There was no way that girl could hold that guy like she did under any normal conditions.

So your point is that NLP is NOT intended or practiced as a method of manipulation or persuasion? Or that it wasn’t developed in the 70’s? How would you describe NLP?

Or do you take the tact that Obama doesn’t use it and this is his natural communication style? You’re criticisms are lacking in any positive assertions that tell us what you think about what WAS in the article... rather than spinning off responding to things that weren’t in the article.

And how does any of that make any more sense of your mocking comment about arresting people?THE ONLY PERSON ON THIS WHOLE THREAD SAYING THAT STUFF WAS YOU. So yes, you ARE reading a lot into it that isn’t there.

Commenting in things people said is one thing... commenting on things they didn’t say as if they did is another form of manipulating a conversation.
