If the Democrats are looking for a long term majority in Congress like they had from 1958 to 1994, then they need more legislators like Gillibrand. Fortunately, few of them are smart enough to realize this.

And yeah, some of the deranged libs' gripes about her sound exactly like some of the freeper comments about McCain.

If the Democrats are looking for a long term majority in Congress like they had from 1958 to 1994, then they need more legislators like Gillibrand. Fortunately, few of them are smart enough to realize this.

During the period 1933-1995 from the 73rd Congress to the 103rd Congress, a total of 62 years, the Dems controlled the House for 58 years. We are now entering another long dry spell for Reps as demographics and our failed immigration policies are combining to make the Dems the permanent majority party.

To keep a long-term majority any party needs it’s *INOs, but there isn’t any more reason to have a DINO in NY than there is to have a RINO in South Carolina. Unfortunately, things get screwed up and turn out that way.

I can deal with RINOs in blue states, but when you’re from a solidly red state, it is inexcusable and can often result in political death at the ballot box.
