We don't have the advantage of a lamestream media promoting the DNC pick 24/7. We do, however, have the advantage of tapping into the sour mood of the country when "hope and change" and other empty slogans fail to deliver. We only need a candidate who can communicate that vision rather than McCaniac claptrap about reaching across the aisle.
Barry Goldwater lost big in 1964, but he left the country with a vision and contrast which was able to begin climbing out of the hole with the election of Ronald Reagan as Governor of California just two short years later. McCain lost a lot smaller in 2008 (thanks largely, IMHO, to Sarah on the ticket) and all he's seemed to learn is that he needs to do more of the same DemocRAT lite policies which made him so popular with the enemedia who sold his opponent to a gullible public who was tired of more of the same.
“Funny the DemocRATS never saw the need to run a moderate candidate.”
They dont have to. An extreme, ultra-liberal like Obama is called a ‘centrist’ by the liberal media and you get moderates voting for him.
It’s a scam. See my comments in the threads about Rep Gillibrand, the next NY Senator. She is a 95% ADA rated ultra-liberal Democrat. But because she panders on gun issue to her more conservative district, the media calls her a ‘blue dog’ and other nonsense. It’s all ‘marketing’. The liberals do what they can to not look liberal.
