I’ve heard that in Chinese numerology and Fung Shui (not that I believe in either one), the number 4 is considered unlucky because “the pronunciation of 4 is a homonym with the word for death or suffering.” (Wikipedia)

So the number 44 would be doubly unlucky?

So far he’s not having much luck with the oath...

fo (4) does rhyme with ho. That doesn't sound like a good omen.

But you would have to add 4 + 4 = 8 Isn’t that how that works?

Or 4 + 4 = 0
