In his farewell speech, Pres. Bush said,

“I have often spoken to you about good and evil. This has made some uncomfortable. But good and evil are present in this world, and between the two there can be no compromise “

This why the libs hate Pres. Bush, and not bcz of his legitimate failings. Anyone who honestly seeks to uphold God and His moral absolutes is made out to an evil orgre, as in their mind, morality is relative, and you can fornicate, etc. all you want and then feel righteous because you rail against global warming. Meanwhile, everyone except their enemies is portrayed as a victim, and endlessly entitled to compensation. This is bcz they are inspired of the devil, who essentially sang that song to Eve in Gn. 3.

(Rev 20:10) “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

Don’t join him, turn to Jesus

I don’t fully agree with your post, but I do think that liberals have a problem with his absolutism. I think that Obama’s subversiveness and questionable ties add to his panache. Lots of the rage toward president Bush is being channeled to love of Obama. It’s more mutable than you might think.
