Mitch Green was an animal.

One of the few guys who could actually end up as the villain in an encounter with Mike Tyson. ;)

Best round ever? Too difficult, for me, to answer...here are two of my favorites: 1. Foreman vs Lyle, 1976 Round 4
2.
Dempsey vs Firpo, 1923 Round 1

No doubt Hagler vs Hearns, " The War"- 1985 Round 1, is one of the greatest rounds in boxing history.

Here is a list of The Ring magazine's best round of the year, 1945-2007.

Ive never seen Foreman Lyle but I have heard about the Dempsey Firpo fight. Mick talks about it in Rocky.

That is a great list. Nothing like a big fight

A friend of mine used to double for Richard Harris in the seventies. Harris hung out on the East Side and had a great habit of getting a fight started in a bar and then ducking out to watch the fun through the window.

One of my best days as a cop...spending the afternoon breaking up the fisticuffs at the tail end of the St. Patrick's day parade in 1974.

Best punch I ever saw, Iron Mike Montague (5'10" 215lb linebacker on a NYC semi-pro football legend with home I played a couple of seasons). Circa 1979 a safety named A-Ray was practicing the art of Oakland-style cheap shots and needed an attitude adjustment. After two warnings Mike walked over to him and knocked him out with a right that I swear only traveled ten inches. Ray was gone for a good thirty seconds before he started to stir. There were no repercussions, no hard feelings...that's how it was in those days.
