It is significant in that he cannot come back after the BC is produced and say, but he isn't my dad....An American citizen is therefore I am too.

The whole scenarios of his mother being a single mom would have played into not challenging his citizenship. If she were single there would be not doubt that his citizenship would follow hers....She should have stayed single.
