Considering that I'm a Vietnam era veteran, complete with "Alive in '75" medal. (Well I've got the ribbon anyway), and I was born *before* the B-52, I sort of doubt it.
Any real conservative would have signed up much longer ago than just under 3 weeks ago.
Where you during the campaign for example.
During the campaign I was volunteering for our local republican party. Though I found McCain weak, the other was NOT an option. Plus, Sarah would have been too fun as vp or even as pres.
Other than working in Iraq 2004 and 2005, I have spent the last 30 years in the woods. I farm and do not have a lot of time to socialize other than on the Sabbath. I learned about this site (for the first time) after the election while I was venting in a feed store. I checked it out, found it was a hoot mixed with smart people. Though I do not think everyone understands just how much danger we are in...
And I reckon we are about the same age. So there. Take that.
Your criteria that- a 'real conservative' has to have signed up by 3 weeks ago (Dec. 23rd, 2008) sets the bar pretty high for any future 'real conservatives' to come on board, don't cha' think, not to mention that it's illogical as h-e-double-hockey-stick?
Everyone has an initial sign up date, EVEN YOU!
Need I state the obvious El Gato, that YOU were a 'noob' once upon a time?
About THAT campaign... many 'real conservatives' didn't much care for John McCain, so, many 'real conservatives' didn't do much for John McCain, except maybe hold their nose and pull the lever. Where were they during the campaign? Many were on the sidelines, sittin' 'this one' out.
I think you might want to try a different type of welcoming strategy on our new neighbors.
