PRESS RELEASE: “Let’s Talk About Sex…” #dontgo Launches Contest for Best Slogan for Porn Bailout
On Wednesday, January 7th Fox News reported that Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis and Hustler publisher Larry Flynt will be asking Congress for a bailout. They will be asking for $5 billion in order to “invest in building new means of distribution, and shoring up our distribution right now to prevent further erosion from factors like Youporn and other Internet content that has seriously affected our business over the past few years,” Francis stated. They already sent the proposal to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Congress.
In true #dontgo form, a contest has been launched to help the faltering porn industry sell their proposal. #dontgo is hosting a page at: http://www.dontgomovement.com/2009/01/07/this-porn-bailout-talk-needs-a-slogan/ where readers will be able to come and submit their ideas for a slogan.
Communications Director Juliana Johnson states, “The porn industry is right on the money with their satirical proposal. If we continue to bailout anyone asking for a check, then where will it end? #dontgo is hoping to show the hilarity of what America is coming to with the repeated bailouts.”
