Norm Coleman: Textbook Example of GOP Cowardice
EEE ^ | 03 JANUARY 2009 | EEE

In the movie "Friday," Smokey (played by Chris Tucker) and Craig (played by rapper Ice Cube) are routinely harassed by Debo (played by Tommy Lister, Jr.) Debo takes their jewelry and their money throughout the movie, before Craig finally stands up to him and kicks his behind.

There are parallels to the movie and to today's Republican Party, but unfortunately there won't be a heroic ending, just a never-ending loop of bumbling Republicans bending over and doing whatever the Dems want, sort of like a Laurel and Hardy short. Here we have in Minnesota, Norm Coleman is getting the rug completely pulled out from under him, and not a peep from Coleman, the MN GOP, conservative blogs & activists, or from the RNC.

WHERE IS THE F OUTRAGE?

Is the Republican Party really going to let a half-twit, not funny, former SNL flunky who used to call himself Stuart Smalley steal a United States Senate seat?

Folks, we're talking about a Senate seat here. As a Senator, Franken would be making important votes that not only would affect MN, but would impact the nation as well. Is the Republican Party really going to roll over and die for this clown? This is arguably the most brazenly stolen election in American history. It is the equivalent of bank robbers stealing money with armed police officers solemnly looking on.

But let's get back to Coleman. Does he even want to be Senator anymore? Has he made any angry statements denouncing Franken, ACORN, and the post-election tactics used? Where is Coleman at anyway? Probably yukking it up with Mitt Romney and other country club Republicans who talk about liberals not like some terminal illness that they are, but rather mere inconveniences with whom we have to work with, as the blue-bloods casually shrug their shoulders. Oh, Coleman is probably standing by, holding his head up, "confidently" believing that the recount will somehow go his way. All for the sake of bipartisanship, you know. The man is getting his job stolen from him and he wants to display bipartisanship and be "above the fray." What a bunch of vomit inducing crock if I don't kill myself first from the dry heaves. This is the same disgusting, milquetoast, compassionate conservatism crapola that has caused the Republican Party to lose 2 consecutive elections. The GOP has no spinal cord, no testicles, it has all the leadership of a caboose. Folks, if Franken is allowed to steal this seat, and it appears that he will, then EVERYBODY from homeless bums to illegal alien murderers will run for Senate in the future.

The time for him to attack Franken was during the election campaign, but Coleman insisted on ‘no personal attacks’.

How very McCain-like of him. I'm ready for the worthless GOP to die.

How could Franken have gotten even one vote more than the hopeless 20% or so of voters who are born morons? A creepy POS like Franken would never have even been on the radar screen in this race back when Americans still had some pride.

I hate to break it to you, but “America” is dead and gone. All that’s left is a land mass populated by cretins and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors and “redistribute” it to them. It is not an America worth defending anymore.

Whatever. I just live here.
Every man for himself.

You left out our new shucking and jiving, teleprompter reading, present voting, affirmative action triumph of political correctness that is soon to be leader of the free world.

That is a very frequent stance with my friends and family and it will continue. Why give money to a group of people that rollover at the slightest opposition. For every GOP attempt to hold ground there are dozens of rollovers. I have rarely seen a conservative idea advanced. We have been conned into thinking moving to socialism at a slower rate is a good thing. IMHO - any moved toward socialism is another nail in our coffin.

Why don't you educate us on YOUR bravery, investment, contribution and investment?

Dude, I don't hold nor am I running for public office, so your statement doesn't apply.

And in Minnesota (the ONLY state NOT to vote for Reagan in '84; the ONLY state to ever elect a Muslim to congress; the ONLY state to elect a pro wrestler Governor; and now the ONLY state to elect a "commedian" communist to the Senate), they might win.
