I do not see how a person could confuse the two aircraft on the ground.

I can tell the difference between a 757 and 747 when they are flying 30,000 feet over my head.

Next time i'm on a 757, and the person next to me says, "I just love these 747s", i'll just tell them .."You moron, this is a 757! Couldn't you tell before you boarded? Geeze, some people's kids now-a-days."
