How would the New York Times feel if someone started up a newspaper to compete with them that sold copies and advertising much cheaper and could do it because they didn't pay taxes, could just dump their ink, solvent and paper wastes anywhere they felt like and the government was giving them free newsprint?

Can't happen. The unions won't let it happen. If a scab shop opened in/around NY it would be burned.

You just know the New York Times doesn’t like us (here at FR). We don’t even buy ink, yet we have a daily readership equal to theirs.
