Not “was” - **IS** a Jew. And sadly, many Jews celebrate “Christ-Mass”
I'm not judging your motives or intent either, but regardless of what you might interpret into Paul... a Governor or President is Governor or President for ALL citizens. Not only the religion you hold true. There's that thing called 1st Amendment.
Beside that Hanukkah reminds us of an event in the history of God's relationship with his people that is historically and spiritually important for ALL of us. All free men can learn something from the Maccabees.
I often enough joined Jewish friends in their celebrations of Hannukah, and I don't let anyone question my faith.
Not regarding you specifically... but it gives me some headaches how sweet and innocent threads get soured by negativity.
As one who certainly understood and believed in the nature of His own divinity and salvation of others via substitutionary atonement, clearly Christ was —and is— Christian.
Correspondingly, it is inaccurate to contend that His religion was one that to this day rejects all of those tenets.
Christ cannot be identified as an adherent of a religion that rejects Christ.
