I understand what you are saying, and it is a shame we don’t apparently have any reasonable way to truly vet such issues, nor have leaders who support finding a better way.

At this point in time, I think the best way to work through this problem is to use the obvious “energy” that is here on this issue, and get some state laws passed that require the Secretary of State to vet a candidate (for the Presidential election, and any other election requirement for other offices, too) before they can legally be put on the ballot.

And if someone is not legally vetted, then anyone who tries to vote for them, even if a write-in, then they can’t count that vote (for that candidate, that is...).

It’s necessary to do that, at this time, since we see what can happen...
