Barack Obama received $10,000 in campaign contributions for his 2004 US senate primary run - far exceeding the maximum amount permitted by law - from Mr. Raghuveer Nayak, an Illinois businessman, now caught up in the federal investigation of Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich.
On Sunday the New York Times reported that Mr. Nayak had offered to raise money for Mr. Blagojevich on behalf of Rep Jesse L. Jackson Jr.
The Times also reported that Mr. Nayak and his wife, Anita, have donated nearly $17,000 to Mr. Obamas campaigns since 2003 and raised thousands more for Mr. Obama's 2004 Senate race from Chicago's Indian-American community...
According to Times, the governor attended a luncheon on October 31, at which Mr. Nayak told those in attendance that they needed to raise $1 million to support Mr. Jacksons bid for the Senate. On Dec. 6, Mr. Nayak helped organize a fund-raising event for Mr. Blagojevich - and both the governor and Mr. Jacksons brother, Jonathan, were there.
Federal investigators said they are looking into whether Mr. Nayak sought to raise $1 million for Mr. Blagojevich in exchange for the governors appointing Mr. Jackson to the Senate seat.
However, left out the New York Times report is the fact that Mr. Nayak had contributed $10,000 for Barack Obama's 2004 US senate primary run - far exceeding the maximum amount permitted by law...

And nothing happens...
Rest assured, I'm sure Mr. Nayak got something! :)
Nayak ?

I think the dinosaurs may make a comeback on this, if it will draw viewers and create ad revenue right now is the time to do it, its either get with the gameplan or keep sinking into the tar pits for the MSM.
Yet another shady character hanging around Obama - is anyone surprised?
I don’t think there’s anything illegal about the contribution, though. Obama was running against Blair Hull, who self-financed his campaign to the tune of $30ish million dollars. Under federal campaign finance laws, if a candidate’s opponent spends over a certain amount of their own personal money, contribution limits for the non-self-financed candidate increase. How much it increases depends on how much the self-financed candidate spends; in this case, the amount was almost $30 million dollars, so, I believe, the contribution limit is 6 times the normal limit. The normal limit is 2300, so 6 times that is $13,800.
And facts about a leftist at that. Who'd a thunk it?
