Were the Framers British subjects at birth according to British law? ... yes.

Was Obama a British subject at birth according to British law? ... yes.

Did the Framers become citizens of the US? ... yes. (at the time of revolution)

Did Obama become a citizen of the US? ... yes. (at birth though this has not been verified)

Does the text of the Constitution read "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President"? ... yes

Were the Framers exempted from the "natural born" requirement by this statement? ... yes (they were alive at the time the Constitution was adopted)

Was Obama exempted from the "natural born" requirement by this statement ... no (he was not alive at the time the Constitution was adopted)

In your opinion the leader of the Soviet Union could knock up a teenage American girl, raise a boy during his formative years on foreign soil, indoctrinate him in communistic/socialistic/marxist government, and then buy the U.S. presidency for him via advertising through the main stream media. I respectfully disagree.

The Framers recognized this potential scenario and specifically protected against it. And here we are, as a nation, generations later largely oblivious to potential problem and willing to toss the Constitutional protections entirely in an effort to allow one single under-qualified junior Senator from Illinois, ripe with governmental corruption, to assume the mantle of POTUS. Why? He's not worth it. For that matter, neither is McCain.

When you say "That's the end of it", you are correct. The only problem is, you are speaking only in terms this election. Some of us see the larger picture in terms of the losing the protections afforded us through adherence to the Constitution.

Can you point out to me where the difference between natural born citizen and citizen at birth is defined? What section of the Constitution? What relevant law? What Supreme Court decision? Thank you in advance.
