Fair point; although I was offering a hypothetical not stating a fact.

State health director Dr. Chiyome Fukino has explicitly stated that both she and the registrar of vital statistics personally validated Obama’s birth certificate.

State law prohibits her from releasing the certificate herself, as we already know. For that reason she is perfectly entitled to refuse to release anyone’s B.C. (or divulge any of its contents) on her own initiative.

She has made her contact details public so if you want, I suppose you could ask her if Obama’s B.C. has been examined in the specific context of satisfying his elegibility for the Presidency.

This is neutral enough; the question is about procedures not data. She may be able to answer without in any way divulging information contained on the certificate.

Asking for anything that hints at the content of the document, strays into the territory of asking her for information that she probably has absolutely no authority to release.

I doubt asking Fukino would get anyone a straight answer. Also on one of the threads was a recent pic of Rep Neil Abercrombie (D) with Obama. He was friends with Obama Sr and recently attacked Gov Lingle for not showing up in Philly for the Gov's meeting with Obama. She wasn't the only Gov that didn't show but she got heat. All that said, I don't think honest answers will come out of Hawaii and Gov Lingle doesn't dare answer.

There's a reason this man is hiding his college records and BC. And it can't be a good one.
