We have elections every two years. (Probably more often, depending on local schedules.) If you are dissapointed with your choices, there is nothing preventing you from offering yourself as an alternative.

The pressure cooker sittuation you are describing happens in countries that do not have elections as a safety valve.

As far as having excessive expectations of President Obama’s administration - it will not be the first time people have been dissapointed with the politician and surely will not be the last.

While I would have preferred that the elections turned out differently, this is not the end of the world. In four years time we will have yet another failed Democratic administration (probably on the level of Jimmy Carter) and a much better selection of Republican candidates than we got in this cycle.

I wish I could be as optimistic as you. While I don’t subscribe to this type of meltdown, I do think it will fall somewhere between you and him.

We have takers and makers in America. Right now the takers (liberals) are reaching the 50% range. Any way you slice it, it spells some form of disaster. The takers need to suffer at this point to get the message. There’s no convincing them that they have to be productive to survive unless they see it for themselves.
